Scientific developments in the area of biotechnology of essential amino acids were directed both on the selection of more productive cultures of microorganisms and on creation of optimum cultivation of the producers and selection of economic expedient raw materials for these technologies.

Search of threonine bacterial cultures from «Collection microorganism’s stains and Plants line for food and agriculture biotechnology» of the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics of NAS of Ukraine was caried out. It was made a choice of threonine producer stain Brevibacterium flavum ТН-7, which synthesized the most quantity of this amino acid. Influence of some carbon source on threonine biosynthesis was observed. The most activity of threonine biosynthesis was shown on sucrose containing medium. The sowing material percent (20%) that were necessary for optimal threonine synthesis were defined. It was determined that adding homoserine to medium had no effect on threonine biosynthesis. It was chosen the optimal culture conditions, as well as stimulants that intensify biosynthesis.

Key words: threonine, Brevibacterium flavum ТН-7, biosynthesis, amino acids.
