Determination DNA damage by metal nanoparticles (Au, Ag, Fe) on the test-culture CHO-K1 was performed by the method of alkaline gel-electrophoresis single eukaryotic cells («comet-assay»). Size-and nature- dependent DNA damage of metal nanoparticles perspective in biotechnology was demonstrated. It was shown that gold nanoparticles of 30 and 45 nm, silver nanoparticles of 30 nm and iron nanoparticles of 77 nm in size had no DNA damage effect. Gold nanoparticles of 10 and 20 nm and iron nanoparticles of 14, 18, 23 nm in size showed DNA damage properties.

Key words: metals nanoparticles, DNA damage, culture CHO-KI cells, method of alkaline gel-electrophoresis of isolated cells.
