The modern industrial fermentation apparatus of leading firms is considered, in particular Sartorius Stedim Systems GMBH, Biotron, Fermentec Co Ltd, Tankki OY et al. It is pointed that the products of these firms answer the requirements of GMP and ISO 9000 enabling to use them in the production of pharmaceutical substances. Basic information is given about the infrastructural equipment of fermenter, namely about the equipment of SIP-stations and generators of clean steam which necessarily complete with industrial fermenters in the USA, Europe and Japan are. A basic criterion for the choice of fermenter is considered price, however not less important factors is authority of firm-producer and comparative analysis of tipe and size of fermenter.
